Governance Body
PASOS is guided by independent governance body that ensures transparency, accountability, and strategic direction, overseeing all activities in line with our mission and values
PASOS is guided by a highly experienced and diverse Board of Directors that provides strong oversight, strategic policy direction, and ensures the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and credibility. Our seven-member board brings together professionals from varied backgrounds, representing gender diversity, regional balance, and special interest group inclusion.
This diversity ensures that our decisions reflect the needs and voices of the communities we serve while maintaining a broad, inclusive perspective. To strengthen effectiveness, the Board works through specialized committees including Finance, Management, and General Purpose tasked with providing expert guidance on key operational areas. These committees play a critical role in financial stewardship, organizational governance, and program oversight.
The board meets at least four times a year to:
- Shape and approve PASOS’s strategic direction
- Safeguard organizational assets
- Approve annual plans and budgets
- Allocate funds between programs and administrative functions
Monitor progress and ensure accountability to all stakeholders
PASOS’s governance framework is underpinned by a formal constitution and a comprehensive Governance, Policies, and Procedures Manual covering:
- Governance & Leadership
- Organizational Management
- Finance & Accountability
- Human Resource Management
- Procurement, Supplies & Logistics
- Technology & Computer Use
- Sustainability Planning
- Monitoring & Evaluation
- External Relations & Partnerships
This strong governance structure ensures that PASOS operates with integrity, efficiency, and donor confidence, enabling us to deliver impactful humanitarian and development programs across Somalia.
