Women in Humanitarian Leadership Conference
Last Updated : March 11, 2025
Women play an essential role in humanitarian action, yet they remain underrepresented in leadership positions within the sector. PASOS is hosting the Women in Humanitarian Leadership Conference, an event dedicated to empowering women leaders, highlighting their contributions, and fostering a more inclusive approach to humanitarian decision-making. This conference aims to inspire, educate, and connect female professionals and advocates working in the humanitarian field.
The conference will feature inspiring keynote speeches, panel discussions with women leaders, and interactive workshops designed to help participants build leadership skills, navigate career challenges, and develop strategies for gender-inclusive humanitarian response efforts. Discussions will also address barriers to female leadership, including workplace discrimination, lack of mentorship, and gender biases in decision-making.
In addition to addressing challenges, the event will celebrate success stories of women leading impactful humanitarian efforts, from disaster response teams to policy advocacy groups. Participants will learn about successful gender-focused initiatives and explore ways to implement them within their own organizations and communities.
This conference is designed for women working in humanitarian aid, development, civil society, and government, as well as allies who support gender equality in leadership. By attending, you will gain the knowledge, skills, and connections needed to amplify your voice, lead with confidence, and drive positive change in the humanitarian sector.
