
Farhan Bashir Hassan, Farhan is a public health professional with expertise in community health programming, essential medicines management, and health systems strengthening. They served as Public Health Officer at the New American Consortium for Wellness & Empowerment (2018 - 2019), organizing health screenings and diabetes prevention programs. Their research experience includes data analysis for metabolic syndrome studies at North Dakota State University (2017-2018) and improving diabetes prevention initiatives at Sanford Health (2017). As WHO's Essential Medicines Coordinator in Somalia (2010 - 2016), he led the development of National Medicines Policy, implemented the Essential Package of Health Services, and established quality control systems for medicines. They also coordinated health responses during the 2011 famine. He holds MPH from North Dakota State University (2018), Pharm-D from University of Karachi (2009), with additional training in health commodity management and leadership with core skills in Health policy development, emergency health coordination, pharmaceutical supply chain management, and cross-cultural community engagement.
