PASOS protecting the most vulnerable populations in Somalia especially women, children, the elderly and displaced persons is central to our humanitarian mission. In close collaboration with United Nations agencies such as UNHCR, UNICEF, UNFPA and other international partners, we deliver comprehensive protection services that promote safety, dignity and rights for those affected by conflict and crisis.

Our protection programs focus on preventing and responding to violence, exploitation and abuse. We provide psychosocial support, legal assistance and referral services to survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), child protection concerns and other human rights violations. Working alongside community leaders and local authorities, PASOS strengthens awareness and reporting mechanisms to ensure timely and effective protection responses.

We prioritize community-based approaches that empower vulnerable groups through education on their rights, capacity building of caregivers and frontline workers and advocacy for inclusive policies. Our child protection promotes safe environments for children, support reunification of separated families and address harmful practices that threaten their well-being.

PASOS also implements specialized programs for internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees and returnees, ensuring their access to protection services, basic needs, and durable solutions. Through partnerships with UN agencies and INGOs we coordinate protection efforts to maximize impact and stand-in resilience in crisis-affected communities.

By combining local knowledge with international standards and best practices PASOS contributes to creating safer, more inclusive environments where all individuals can live free from harm and with dignity.
