The Peace Action Society Orgnizaiton for Somalia is a nationally recognized, professionally managed, and deeply committed non-governmental, non-profit organization. Established on 1st January 1997 in Mogadishu by visionary civil society leaders, PASOS has spent over two decades standing alongside Somalia’s most vulnerable communities, delivering hope, dignity, and lasting change.

Our mission is driven by the belief that every person deserves a life of justice, dignity, and opportunity. We work tirelessly to address the root causes of poverty and inequality, focusing on environemental stablization, food security, sustainable livelihoods , access to clean and safe drinking water, and equitable health services. We empower communities to lead their own development, strengthening self-governance, resilience and sustainability

PASOS is equally committed to gender justice, human rights advocacy, democracy promotion, and peacebuilding, with specialized programs in conflict resolution, child protection, and safeguarding natural resources.
