Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Human Resource Management Officer to support the implementation of HR policies and ensure efficient HR operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruitment, staff welfare, compliance, performance management, and day-to-day HR administration. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruitment processes including job posting, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records, contracts, and HR databases.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of HR policies, procedures, and labor laws.
  • Coordinate employee benefits, leave management, payroll inputs, and performance reviews.
  • Handle employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Facilitate staff training and development initiatives in collaboration with management.
  • Track probation periods, contract renewals, and performance appraisals.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment in line with organizational values.
  • Participate in audits and HR reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in NGO, development, or corporate settings.
  • Solid knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems (HRIS).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.

Desirable Skills

  • HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, CHRP) is an added advantage.
  • Experience supporting multicultural and field-based teams.
  • Knowledge of local HR practices, contracts, and government procedures.
