Balal Mohamed Osman, Hon. Balal Mohamed Cusman is a distinguished Somali statesman, diplomat, and strategic leader with extensive experience in public service, governance, and international relations. He currently serves as a Board Member of Peace Action Society Organization for Somalia (PASOS), where he contributes high-level guidance on policy, institutional development, diplomacy, and strategic partnerships. His broad leadership background adds significant value to the organization’s mission of humanitarian assistance, peacebuilding, and sustainable development. Hon. Balal previously served as the State Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, where he played a central role in advancing Somalia’s foreign policy priorities, strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations, and representing the country in regional and international forums. During his tenure, he engaged with governments, international institutions, and development partners to promote peace, cooperation, investment, and Somalia’s global re-engagement.
